"I needed a ladder to access my loft on the odd occasion and at £27 this ladder seemed to fit the bill. I also had an idea I may have to make some non-standard modifications to make it fit my purpose and at that price I didn't mind breaking it! Having said that, it is fairly well made and I had it fitted in it's intended form in about 20 mins, although the instructions aren't the best laid out and you do have to apply a bit of common sense throughout the build process. Great value, wouldn't of paid the pre-sale price of 50 quid for it thou!"

"A good solid product that was easy to assemble.
The only criticism I have concerns the pivot bar. It allows too much sideways movement (wobble) when raising & lowering.
When in position it feels safe & secure."

"Having read the other reviews I purchased this for a friend with budget and yes easy to fit but make sure the loft hatch is big enough first and in agreement with many other reviews this ladder would benefit from a second stay on the other side at the top,I have fitted many more exspensive designs than this they all do the job it just depends on how many times you access the loft as the more exspensive models tend to have larger treds."

"Having shopped around, this was the most reasonable ladder of it's kind on the market. I didn't need anything flash. The ladder itself was all I could ask for. The only down side was the quality of the fixings. The screws disintergrated too easily and I had to use alternatives."

"Have just installed this 3 section loft ladder, took about 3 hours in all. The instructions are O.K. in the main but a bit vague or non-existent in places which is a shame.
The ladder performs well in the main but it could really do with either a stronger pivot stay or even better, it could do with another one for the other side as well. This would make the ladder assembly more stable when lowering and raising it. The ladder itself when extended to the floor is very stable and seems well made. So come on Screwfix, just get the manufacturers to correct these couple of things and it would be perfect. Also, could you get the manufacturers to supply an additional pivot stay to all previous purchasers of this product ? That would be soooo cool !"

"Theoretically a good design and functional budget priced product, easy to install.
In practice the design of the bolt installation for locking the sections together are weak. Although the design weight is 150Kg max (I weigh 105Kg) The bracket rivets 'pulled' and allowed the locking bolt to disengage the first time I used it."
