"This Erbauer tile cutter will easily slice through your tiles. Its powerfull motor will cope with the thicker tile with ease. If cutting glazed ceramic tiles, just be aware that the diamond blade can chip the glaze leaving a rough edge. In common with this type of machine, do use it on a plastic sheet as the slurry goes everwhere. That said it makes trimming and notching tiles a doddle."
"I've used several borrowed tile cutters in the past and this one is by far the best. Unlike others it has a good sized table - good when cutting large floor tiles. The fence arrangement is superior because it is easy to clear tile dust which inevitably gets jammed into everything. The water bath and blade guard make for trouble-free wet cutting without you getting a shower! It runs nice and smoothly so is steady for delicate cuts rather than rattling about. I have just tiled my bathroom and kitchen, wall and floor in both, and the cutter performed faultlessly whether I was cutting thick floor tiles or small mosaic tiles. Good tool."
"Erbauer ERB180C Tile Cutter is a no Glam machine. I last used it for cutting grade 5 porcelain tiles that were 12mm thick and it coped with the cutting with no problem. I would say the water container is a pain to clean & refil because you cant get it out without spillage, that is unless you have another set of hands to tilt the machine whilst you remove the water container,(keeping it level). A bed extension would be nice. But on the whole good value for money."
"Good tile saw, but in the wronge hands could be very dangerous. The blade guard has no adjustment, which makes it difficult to see where you are cutting. The temptation would be to remove the guard. The on-off swich is baddly located, and is very stiff, which temps you to leave the saw running when not in use."
"Powerful and performed well on stone floor tiles but a few flaws: Base is uneven and wobbles, Adjustable guide does not move freely, Splash guard is not very effective, It is not possible to get the water tray out when filled to the required level (which is right to the top) without lifting and tilting the cutter body itself..or spilling most of it.
But it is cheap and it did cut big pieces of thick stone easily"
"Having struggled with manual tile cutters for years, I purchased the Erbauer ERB 180C from Screwfix and it has exceeded my expectations for speed and ease of use. The blade supplied has lasted many hours of use and I can see that it will have an extended future in my power tool inventory."
