"I bought this as a replacement for another popular brand that seemed over complicated and not very flexible (it wanted to be on all day Saturday and Sunday!).
The Siemens used the same two wires and after connecting and fitting worked straight away. The switches make it easy to programme and the dial makes it very easy to change temperatures. Also the screen is nice and large and easy to understand. So much so I think the Mother might get one.
My main reason for buying was to be able to overide the timer if I wanted heat during the day without pressing and holding buttons, and with a twist of the dial it sparks the boiler up within seconds. There is also the option of reverting it to night mode which is ideal if you're on holiday.
Yes there are many other room stats with more features but do you actually need any more than twice a day programmes and the ability to change the current on/off temperature!"
