"This drill works well but not for very long as batteries go flat very quickly. If doing a lot of drilling/ driving with it you'll need 3 batteries at least. 1 in use, 1 on charge and 1 spare. Very early on wished I'd bought a different drill. Great price but only if performance does the job for you and it hasn't for me. Not used much now just sits around as a back up."
"You know from the heft in your hand this drill is solidly built, and it looks good to last under even tough conditions. The grip and balance are perfect, the power is impressive, and the reverse action and torque adjustments are well designed for easy use. Extras like the work-area light that comes on when the trigger is activated is useful in all dark corners (or when returning to the workshop at night!), and all in all this has become my favourite cordless drill ever. Having three NiCads is in my experience a much better answer than the overpriced Li-Ion units that in practice often underperform, and cost an arm and a leg to replace."
"Ordered Saturday and was using this great piece of kit on Monday morning, tackled jobs that my old drill struggled with . Plenty of power and torque. Good carry case with plenty of space so no need for a degree in flex folding or puzzle solving to put the kit away in its case. Definitely recommend this item. Feels strong and robust although a little heavy. Quick recharge time. Only negative is it could do with one or two screw bits in the box to compliment the drill for convenience."
"no problems except that an 8mm drill bit made the entire chuck rotate off-centre as soon as it touched wood. Also the case is pretty annoying, the spare battery and drill itself aren't held securely in place but rattle round loose."
"I am very pleased with this drill, excellent piece of kit, very good price, have drilled 100s of holes & screwed 100s more, powerful and strong drill just keeps going till battery gives up , only down side is battery life, you got 2 batteries, so not a problem, swop and carry on, I would buy this again, yes"
"This is good value and if it gets nicked on site then not so much stress as it could be. The batteries last a bit but I've flattened two of them before the day is out so need them fully charged when doing a day long job. Only downside is its bulky so trying to screw in tight spaces dosent always work. I have a flexi extension bit holder that usually overcomes this issue :)"
"what can i say WOW buy this drill if like me you need something powerful but also practical for easier DIY tasks. So far used it to put 10mm holes in the wall and get TV bracket up also put up 80KG punch bag and all with ease :) Very very impressed did see some negative reviews with the battery but it comes with two and with all the jobs i did so far haven't had to change the battery or recharge yet lol dont hesitate buy it!"
"It just works, the battery lasts ages and the 2nd battery is always ready when it runs out (it hasn't actually run out yet!) I really like the light that helps locate screws etc when working in dark areas. Basically it has not let me down and I don't think it will. I am currently doing a house split and am not a professional tradesman, but it makes me feel like one."
"I have both this drill and the Makita that is the same price. This is a far better drill. More torque and has a light that switches on when trigger is pulled. DeWalt is a heavier drill but I think its probably because more metal used in its guts than the plastic some drill use.
Both drills are nice drills for the money but this is really good."
"Have had this drill for almost a year and it has never let me down. Have even watched it fall from a scaffold and the body and battery separate, thot I had killed it but no, put the battery back in and away it went again ! One big plus - My 2.6amp batteries from my Dewalt nailer also fit this drill so I never run out of battery."
