"Works well, does not fit all outside taps (Some have a limited thread depth). Fits every appliance tap I have tried.

Under Pressure
1 Oct 2008

"As a newly qualified Corgi plumber, this item was one of the first bits of equipment I purchased. Every genuine plumber is required to have one of these items! If you don't know a property's Mains Pressure, how can you compare any other pressures in the house?
A great bit of kit and easy to use. Fasten it to an outside tap, turn on the tap and take the reading on the clear easy to read dial. Easy as that.
Great bit of kit for the money.

Water Pressure Test Gauge
9 Jul 2008
By DIYerNUT , Manchester
"I bought this item to pressure test my incoming mains water supply. It is a great little unit that shows the water pressure as PSI or BAR. Comes as a sturdy construction with braided hose. It’s as simple as close off the mains supply, connect this gauge and reopen the mains supply. You are able to measure static pressure with all taps closed as well as the flow rate pressure, two very useful measurements.

I was able to establish that my mains water supply had sufficient pressure, static and at flow, for the unvented heating system that I was planning to have installed.

The price was a great attraction, as i found the exact same unit and other leading retailers for exactly double the price as charged here.

All right for some

"If you have less than 10 foot of head, this gauge is all but useless. It may be just fine for other applications, but if you have marginal pressure and you need to find out whether you can fit a particular appliance, water-heater or shower, this won't help.

One feature that was especially annoying was the deceptive markings on the dial. Pressure is marked off at intervals of 5 psi--except for the first interval, which is 10 psi. I didn't notice this at first, and I lost a day's work as a result.
