" Looks to be full bore. Used for local isolation on kickspace heater installation. Screwdriver slot is also threaded so I guess you could fit the handles that come with washing machine valves, if required. "

Design fault!

" Have you wondered why a screwdriver slips off the valve head?
It is because it is designed to be operated with a coin, so that in an emergency you do not need special tools.
For the record, once the item is a few years old and furred up, one penny, five penny and twenty pence pieces fit the slot, but do not have sufficient purchase, a tenpenny piece, has the puchase but is not a happy fit into the slot.
Perhaps the dollar and euro have better purchasing power. Ho Ho!
Perhaps Screwfix could organise a competition to suggest what kind of emergencies this valve might be used for?
