"perfect for relaying old floorboards, the dimple on the top mentioned in a previous review is to ensure the nail beds firmly below the surface of the timber so it does not work loose . Just what it is intended for. If sanding punch the nails further below the surface as with any floor sanding job."
"I repaired a floor using these and they are very easy to use. The old boards were in varying states and I was concerned at the size of the nails as smaller ones (round type)had clearly split the wood when used by the previous owners. These go in very well and without damage even very close to the ends of boards. They grip nice and tightly and I am well pleased with the results, just bought my second pack as another area of the house requires some repair. I found holding the nail straight until a good third was in the board helped keep the nail straight and true, also going in slowly to start with boards in very bad shape."
"Needed some of these to re-lay some floorboards directly only concrete.
Performed well & kept their shape while hammering.
Only bad bits - the nails have a really smooth finish, and I found they were quite "slippy" when going into concrete, whereas some others I already had were quite rough and gripped better. Also, the nails had a small dimple on the top, which didnt flatten out after hammering, so when I came to sand the boards, I was destroying pads.
