"Fitted these to a building where the Highways Dept. in their wisdom put a new path outside the house and half covered over the air brick creating a drain into the house. these did the job, better quality that some I have used in the past."
"I have had problems for years with damp in my house.... have lifted the floorboards and found that the builders put plenty of air bricks in, but then they put the joist right up against the wall so no air could get in to circulate under the floor.. found these, cut into the joists and installed them.. now getting plenty of air under the floorboards, no more musty smell in the house, recommend these to anyone"
"have bought a few of these now .the product is fine. however a word of warning these air brick channels are not suitable for old houses with 68mm width of bricks or more or brick cavity larger than that in new build houses. I have fitted these to a 1994 semi with cavity walls. problem is the front air brick vent will not fit flush with the exterior brick work ,they will be sat inside the opening by about 2cm. the solution is which is a rather messy one is to grind back the inner face of the exterior brick by 2cm .you will need to take out the inner bricks first. I did this and now they are ok but its a lot of work and dust , not for the faint hearted tand you need a face mask and goggles if you grind back your bricks . and a dust sheet ."
