"As others have noted, the rubber seal can come out of the plastic housing when you push it onto the pan, HOWEVER, this is ONLY when you don't use any kind of lubricant. A bit of washing-up liquid or soap round the pan outlet and it slides on like a dream. This is not a defect, it is only because the rubber seal is proper rubber, and thus grips the pan firmly when you try to push it on dry. If it didn't come out of the housing, it would possibly be damaged if pushed too hard - so take note all you DIY'ers, Always use a bit of soap for a perfect job. As for the connector's performance - solid water seal first time, great tight fit into soil pipe, and gives plenty of adjustment for any mis-alignment, both with the offset which can be turned, AND with the flexibility of the rubber pan boot. Great buy, highly recommended - don't hesitate!"
"After reading other reviews I was a bit wary of the rubber seal coming out of it's housing and when I dry fitted it on to the pan this did happen, however when I used a hair dryer to make the rubber more ply-able along with some washing up liquid it slid on no problem! Once I had wiped the washing liquid off and the rubber had cooled I was left with a nice tight seal. The offset allowed the pan to Sit firmly on the floor as the waste was a few cm higher.
Over all good product when a bit of prep is carried out! No leaks so far!"
"Simple, basic, reliable pan connector. Creates a good seal - use a bit of washing liquid to make connection to pan easier. I've fitted quite a few of these and the only time I had a problem turned out to be the faulty casting of the pan outlet, which wasn't circular, so the connector couldn't form a seal, otherwise they're totally reliable."
