"Check the manual (online) and make sure you are happy with the instructions on maintaining IP44 and lack of a gromet for the entry point. I found it easy to wire and install with reasonable instructions."
"The light fitting is simple and effective and will accept a 20w (100w equivalent output) spiral fluorescent bulb. It is the replacement for an 80 year old outside light; I hope that this one lasts as long but I won't be around to find out."
"I bought three of these lights to replace existing outdoor lights that were either damaged, wouldn't accept 25W spiral CFL bulbs or of an unacceptable design.
Unfortunately, I returned all three due to the lack of a 20 mm grommet (which the instructions said was supplied) and, most importantly, the lack of an obvious and easy means of securing the live and neutral wires to the BC fitting. I was expecting standard screw terminals, but they were either missing due to a manufacturing error or this is a new design which varies from every other electrical fitting that I'm aware of in not having conventional screw-in terminals. Bizarre. The instructions were not explicit in saying how to connect the wires either.
The best feature of this product is the unbreakable polycarbonate diffuser though. A bargain price too, if only the product had been better designed. Back to the drawing board for my exterior lights."
