Customer Reviews for Sink & Washing Machine Trap 40mm
"Have been using these traps for a long time now and they have been great, but the last few i have used were very poorly made. The plastic around the seal on the bottom curved section of the trap were mis-shapped. This wouldnt allow the rubber o ring to seat and seal. A couple also had o rings missing. probabley thrown 4 out of the last 10 away. Not happy. Think flow plass need some better quality control."
"I have used these previously and they have been ok but this was a poor fit from the start. Once i finally got it installed it seemed ok but after 6 days 2 joints had loosened and water came running out from under the sink. Very annoying! Have now purchased a more expensive trap as don't want the hassle again,"
"Fitted this in a kitchen and had a call back. The thread slipped on the last turn though it was not apparent at the time of installation. It's hard to explain properly but basically it is cheap and nasty. I will be avoiding all Floplast from now on and sticking to McAlpine. I don't do leaks, I have a reputation to maintain."
"This is not the trap you are looking for. The height of the waste outlet that is after the u-bend is above the height of the waste inlet for the washing machine. This results in your washing machine sucking up some u-bend water in an attempt to get some air from the sink. This also makes a horrendous burping noise similar to Barney Gumble.
You probably want a McAlpine WM11 trap instead, or you'll want to put a separate vent for your washing machine... or you should just get someone that know's what they're doing to do it"
"I have fitted quite a number of these traps, they are cheap and unreliable. They leak: the trap tube ends which but up to the rubber seals are not flat and in some cases deformed, therfore not providing a water tight seal."
