"This is your bulk standard patio door lock well made very reasonibly priced takes around 15 mins to fit. I do recomend that 2 of these are fitted to patio doors as they are the easiest door to break into."
"patio doors are one of the easyest doors to break into so adding extra locks can only help , i added 2 locks one top and one bottom for added security job took about 30 mins and was straight forward , you cant stop someone just braking the window but that creates noise by adding the extra locks you are not an easy target for the opportunist thief"
"As a new customer to ScrewFix I am very impressed with their HUGE range of products, fantastic website on which I quickly found what I needed...Patio Door Locks...at a very reasonable price , just a matter of registering my details ,placing my order.....a couple of days later they arrived, got them fitted, no problems....result much more secure Patio Doors. Can recommend the ScrewFix catalogue too."
"Title says it all. Nice quality lock, but the instructions are comically poor, and the diagram doesn't bear any resemblance to any of the parts. There are two rings and brackets, the idea being you can lock the door/window in the closed position, or lock it in an open position. But it's not clear if you should use the ring and the locks. I presume one or the other, depending on the detail of your door frame."
"A well made item with smooth push button and key action that offers fantastic value for money compared to similar items available elsewhere. Easy to fit, comprehensive kit with all needed parts. A recommended item of which I will be buying more."
"Good value unit. Fixings a bit cheap but still worked. There is an extra plate and screws with each unit. Not sure exactly what this is for and the fitting instructions are very poor. There's not even a parts list. I ended up downloading the fitting instructions from a well known manufacturer whose lock looked very similar to ensure I was siting the locks correctly in relation to the door."
"Although a good product the instructions are very basic. It does not inform you for example to use a 3mm drill for the self tapping screws. It would be an even better product if available in different colours to match your patio doors or windows."
"I dont feel it was clear enough in the catalogue that this product is only for sliding patio doors. It's not suitable for normal opening patio doors. The terrible instructions have one redeeming feature - the title - "Sliding door and window lock" which would be a more appropriate title for the product than "patio door lock". That said, it is a neat unti for a sliding door."
"Great locks, fitted to my patio doors on the Feb 6th in Portugal, they have just stopped my place getting broke into, I would recomend to any one to fit these. Screws are a bit naff the heads snap off, so used my own screws."
"The lock itself is excellent value and well made, but the instructions are so cursory they're useless and there is also the strange omission of any security screws to fix the lock in place, it's only supplied with some tiny philips head that aren't really up to the job. Fortunately Screwfix also do security screws at a good price, so it's an issue that's easily fixed."
"I would recommend these well built locks, but with reservations: The fitting instructions are really only a description of the item. No mention of recommended fitting positions for either windows or patio doors. No mention of what the enclosed fittings are for. No mention of what size holes should be drilled for the self tapping (?) screws. (Two screws broke off in their holes, which caused me great problems!)"
