Security Screws

" These screws we bought to secure a security bolt with a combination lock. The screws are great and secure. They will combat and defeat a screwdriver (I know because I had to remove one). Once in always in. "

Great screws

" At £2 for 25 security screws I think they're a bargain. Thieves stole my tv buy unscrewing the bracket from the wall, hopefully this will stop them, better than paying £200 excess for the insurance "

Your chance to beat the thief

" A simple idea - a screw that can be screwed-in but not removed. It is important to make sure that the hole is of the appropraite diameter (either drill or pre-screw with a similar sized screw); if it looks like it's getting too tight and unlikely that the screw will go flush, you'll need a pair of pliers to remove it. Once it has been screwed home, that's it - it will not be removable. You'll also need a slotted screw-driver that is the correct size, you'll have problems if you try to use one with a head that's too small. "

Good Product But Care Required
19 Dec 2008

" First thing to remember with this product is that you will not be able to remove it. The problem is driving it home. If it does prove to be too hard to drive home then stop and use a pair of pliars to unscrew it. To insert a conventional screw of the same size first is virtually essential. You'll need to make sure that you use the correct size slotted screwdriver as well -forget your portable.
Otherwise they are fine. Pity they aren't for external use as well though. "
