"In use, these are handy bits of kit. Put the screw in the holder, then slide the sleeve down to cover it. Press the screw into the surface, and turn on the screwdriver. The screw drives home, without damaging your fingers.
I have gone through several of these over the years, as they do fail. Treat them as a consumable, expecting to replace them every so often. Or buy an extra one, as they are ridiculously cheap. Either way, do not be without one.
Also available in longer standard size, with same comments."
"Don't waste your money on this product, quality is awful. The holder lasted me a few weeks (casual use only), then it felt apart. At first, a stopper ring came off, then the hex part, holding a screw bit, sheered off completely!!!"
"was only driving 2 inch screws to fix plasterboard to batons, the holder failed where the hex bit and the holder joins, holder spins whilst screw stays still, snapped in 2 pieces...screwfix replaced it but it happened again...."
"Awesome product, just not up to the job. I've had 4 of these that have been poor and I have given up buying them. The joint between the hex bit and the screwdriver bit fails and the screw stays still while the bit turns round. This used to be a good product, however the engineering standard of manufacture is pants (should that read "are pants") Buy it if you're a DIYer and do not intend to abuse it"
