"I know the are about double the cost of a unbranded imported stopcock but ,they do not leak water out of gland when you turn them on or off, the compression joints seal first time every time and therefore I do not get call backs! All in all I must save loads by fitting these in place cheaper ones !!"
"What a ruddy, lovely, smashing stop cock. a real joy to behold, still makes me smile when I think about it. The colour, size and weight are all so just right. it makes you want one even though you don't need one. Just go out and get one - you'll be so glad you did. blooming lovely stop cock"
"Where it is being used as a main internal stoptap it pays to use a quality make and this is just that. It is more expensive than the generic components but given that stoptaps can be pretty inaccessible it pays to use a decent one to save having to replace it!"
"This was purchased to replace an old leaky one with a handle which fell off . Imagine my joy when this leaked from the spindle after being fitted for 10 mins . However this is a good make and a quick adjustment to the spindle nut stopped the problem and the handle cant fall off as it is integral to the spindle ...so all good really I guess ."
"Does what you expect, not hard to turn on or off.
I have only given 4 stars for performance and reliability as I only fitted it last week. If you are reading this, go and check your stopcock before you HAVE to change it, I wish I had. (Old one has been very slowly dripping for? cupboards ruined)
(You are looking DOWN on mine, easier to turn off that way in my case)"
"Bought 2 of these stop taps, have only used one so far but was very dissapointed with the manufacture of it. One of the compression nuts had been over machined leaving a very thin flange which is surpose to compress the olive. When under mains pressure the nut started to pass over the olive instead of pushing up against it . Luckely it was noticed before any damage was done. have checked the other one and it looks fine, so maybe a one off. Will be checking them very carefully from now on."
"I used to believe Pegler was expensive but made good quality fittings,
I paid double for this valve over the cheaper makes, thinking I would not have to mess about. How wrong I was, the olives were very thin and not fit for pupose, luckely had some decent spare olives, the copper pipe would not go into compersion nut because the hole was too small, had to use sand paper to file out excess.
Took three times as long to fit a simple stop cock due to the poor quality, overall bad experience and in future I would stay away from over priced cheap Pegler"
