"Bought and used this today. Does the job faultlessly, and winds back in with no problems at all.
The only additional thing it could have is a thing on the end of the tape to stick in to the ground, but a pack of cheap tent pegs from 'everyone's favourite' sports shop do the job better than that would anyway, and prevent it from getting too dirty."
"This tape is a a hit with all who have had one from my store (and they are very fussy what tools they use). It washes up well after being in the mud, doesn't stretch so a total winner Can't fault it and the price is exceptionally small. Have got 2 more hidden in my store."
"Bought these for doing surveys on beaches with a load of students they're an excellent, very reasonably priced tape measure and they're very easy to clean as they were covered in so much mud. would highly recommend."
"As other have reviewed the end of the tape is the start, not the end of the hook. Though it does tell you this on the tape, it doesn't help when measuring on your own (unless you don't need to be too accurate)
Framework is plastic and a little flimsy, so you will need to treat it with a little care and place it down rather than just dropping it.
Double rollers help rewinding and handle flips over to prevent it unwinding unnecessarily."
"I bought this to do some scale drawings of my garden. It does what it says on the tin, it measures. However the open design makes it really practical when the weather is has been wet because the tape is not rewound into a closed box retaining moisture . Meaning subsequent storage is less likely to result in problems and jamming of the tape. A problem I experienced with leather cased items in the past."
"For the cost the tape is quite good quality and would be very useful except for one fatal flaw. The tape doesn't measure from the end of the chrome ring, but from the end of the actual glassfibre tape. Making all measurements 1' (25mm) to short.Doh!"
