"Bought two. Whilst fitting to basin cross threaded with out feeling any resistance at all, unable to use. Had to use the one planned for the other bathroom, same again, but eventually managed to fit after much difficulty. tested and the trap bowl would not seal, tightened still leaking. Removed it to find a tiny speck on the sealing face, cleaned refitted ok but not confident with quality."
"I pride myself as a no leaks kinda person this trap let me down badly with it's oh so flimsy washer! I wish I had read the reviews in here before I bought it. Going out now to buy myself a better, good quality McAlpine a make I can trust. Screwfix please pull the plug on these frap traps (pun intended)"
"Had the same experience as other reviewers - top connection can thread very easily and, once fitted, the seal between the bowl and body leaks no matter what - have also had to resort to silicone to get this to seal properly."
"The only reason i would fit one of these again is if the customer is fit and i want to be called back!!!!!! easy to cross thread flimsy top seal leak after leak if you buy one get some L-SX to seal it up and a large bag of good luck!!!!!! or buy the McAlpine one instead ( 37314 )"
"Had 10 of these Traps all leaked had to try and seal with PTFE tape on the bottle joint.
It would seem the o-ring will not seal when the bottom bowl is tightened up ,as unit is to thin in wall thickness to make a good seal. Would suggest Screwfix buy a better make.Buy at your own risk of them not sealing ."
"I will not be using this particular Floplast trap again, as other reviewers have stated the joint between the bowl and body leaks no matter how it is tightened. I have experienced this with 4 traps now. These units should not be for sale as they are not fit for purpose. Pay the extra for Mcalpine"
