"I pride myself as a no leaks kinda person this trap let me down badly with it's oh so flimsy washer! I wish I had read the reviews in here before I bought it. Going out now to buy myself a better, good quality McAlpine a make I can trust. Screwfix please pull the plug on these frap traps (pun intended)"
"Had the same experience as other reviewers - top connection can thread very easily and, once fitted, the seal between the bowl and body leaks no matter what - have also had to resort to silicone to get this to seal properly."
"The only reason i would fit one of these again is if the customer is fit and i want to be called back!!!!!! easy to cross thread flimsy top seal leak after leak if you buy one get some L-SX to seal it up and a large bag of good luck!!!!!! or buy the McAlpine one instead ( 37314 )"
"Had 10 of these Traps all leaked had to try and seal with PTFE tape on the bottle joint.
It would seem the o-ring will not seal when the bottom bowl is tightened up ,as unit is to thin in wall thickness to make a good seal. Would suggest Screwfix buy a better make.Buy at your own risk of them not sealing ."
"I will not be using this particular Floplast trap again, as other reviewers have stated the joint between the bowl and body leaks no matter how it is tightened. I have experienced this with 4 traps now. These units should not be for sale as they are not fit for purpose. Pay the extra for Mcalpine"
"I boought one to try as it seemed a reasonable price. Fitted it and it leaked. Swopped it for a McAlpine trap and hey presto no leak. Need I say more, you get what you pay for! This is cheap and not really fit for purpose. Stock some better quality traps please Screwfix."
"Fitted four of these on a four basin job. All of them leaked from the bowl to body joint and no amount of tweaking would get them to seal. Resorted to silicone on the threads in the end. Two weeks on have had to replace all of them with McAlpine. Nut to waste can cross thread very easily too!"
