"Had to use M6 nut as replacement for part which was required (plastic fitting) however was only available as part of package; not required. Does job to a degree but not as good as original plastic fitting."

Wingnuts are wingnuts

"There is not a lot to say about them - they worked fine for what I wanted them for and are still holding on - the threads seem to be well cut and they fit the threaded bar that I used them on with the right tension"

Light Dutty Applications Only
1 Dec 2012
By BillDL
, Hamilton
"I bought these to use with stainless steel set screws to mount my bathroom basin to the thick plywood wall that boxes in my pipes, with the wingnuts to be on the inside of the boxed-in area. Unfortunately the thread of the first wing nut stripped under moderate tightening by hand (I have strong hands), so I used T-Nuts instead. I would only use these for lightweight jobs where future disassembly would be easier with wing nuts, and not for any load bearing jobs. I used one for the little gubbins in the sink that the plug chain attaches to, because that doesn't have to be particularly tight. Cheap enough not to worry about returning them. They will be handy for something later."
