"we brought a pull cord from bbq but it only lasted a week so this time we brought from screwfix it seems much stronger and hasn't given us any problems it was easier to fit as well and well worth the small amount it cost will dep buy again if needed"
"Easy for DIY'er to fit as replacement for existing pull-cord switch that had developed fault. Cord a good length, needed to shorten for standard height ceiling in ex-council house. Switching action slightly less firm than it was on the switch being replaced but feels solid enough.
Have to cut out back to get cables in. No mounting screws supplied so used those on switch being replaced which I didn't mind as I rarely find screws and wall plugs supplied with items are good quality. Bought MK as expect quality reliable product, only time will tell on that. Was better value than I found same item in any high street DIY stores."
I'm a big fan of MK products as they just seem to work. They can cost a fraction more than some cheaper brands or contractor multi-packs but the finish is just a bit nicer, meaning that rather than sticking out as an obviously cheap bulk buy with rough edges, you don't even tend to notice them,"
"Brought because my previous light switch was arcing out inside the switch. So easy to change just 2 screws then disconnect the wires, screw them into the new switch and screw it back up. Done so easily in 5 minutes."
"Well made, reasonably priced, time will tell regarding reliability although I have always found MK products to stand the test of time, easy to install, features? it works well with smooth switching action not too loud but is positive, cord supplied is a good length ideal for high ceilings and cable access is good, however, it could do with a larger diameter earth connection point as I often have to install additional earthing at this location. It is exactly what I expect from one of the market leading brands. I would supply and install this to any customer who requires an efficient quality white pullcord light switch."
"I'm no expert with DIY but to install the switch was very easy and quick to do. It took me longer to get the screwdriver out of the shed and turn the power off, than to actually change the orignal broken switch. It does 'exactly as it says on the tin.' Job done!"
"When my bathroom pull switch failed I bought one from one of the DIY retailers. It soon started being unreliable, so they changed it, but the new one was no better. I got another from a high street store, but you had to pull it three times before it would come on. I got a refund and bought this one from Screwfix, and it works fine. It was also cheaper than the others. I should have gone to Screwfix first!"
"Some pull switches only last a few years in my experience, but I've never had an MK one fail. Well designed and easy to install. Looks are the only drawback - I think this is one of the ugliest switches available"
