"We purchased this set as a single 30 mm bit was not in the screwfix range, as it turns out this was very good value and the quality is great. Comes complete in a handy case with the three other sizes so very good value for money"
"I was a little sceptical because of the very low price but decided that as I wanted them for a specific job only, even if they were rubbish they would at least do that job but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did they cut accurately they stayed sharp for a good time. I also found them easy to hone. All in all exceptional value for money."
"The only tool that screwfix sell that cuts a 15mm hole in wood. Does a nice neat job, perfect for the holes used by cams in kitchen cupboards, so when one is missing from the manufacturer, you can use this to make your own. Also includes larger sizes. Tends to get blunt quickly on laminated surfaces."
"Only needed one of the bits to drill the holes to hang the door on an integrated washing machine. Did the job. Useful tool and at a reasonable price compared to elsewhere. Online purchase and collection from my local store saved time. Happy to recommend - and will use Screwfix again. Thanks"
"Needed a set in a hurry saw these a good price, however you pay for what you get there ok for the odd useage here and there not the best for constant use though, but so long as kept maintained they will be fine for a good while."
"Not much that you can say about threaded bar! However, it is "to size" and worked well for the assembly work that I was doing. I was pleased that the ends weren't burred over as threaded bar often is - I hate having to re-thread the ends because nuts don't fit! This was fine."
"Needed a 30mm bit for a relatively small job so bought this set. The bit stood up reasonably well all considered, drilling 6 holes into oak newel posts - but only just. Use once, throw away. As for fast and effortless - I wouldn't go too fast personally, they are not really up to it."
"don't know if I got a bum set or other people that reviewed this product were only drilling holes in a cup of water! These bits are so blunt they wouldn't even drill a hole, had to check my drill wasn't in reverse. They look like they were made by a blind man wearing boxing gloves. Absolute rubbish took them back straight away."
"Even with the poor reviews, I was in desperate need of a 15mm bit to complete a job and thought it worth it so went for this set. Fortunately I checked the already opened packet before I left the car park and found the quality to be incredibly poor, with the grinding so out of place that the tools would try to burnish a hole through the material rather than cut it. Admittedly I needed the bit for a chair I was making so they were of no use at all and returned them straight away in exchange for a Disston Multi-Angle Drill Bit 15mm instead. One bit for slightly less than a set of five but at a much better quality. If you are roughing out softwoood joinery and just need a rough hole in the wood you might be OK but don't expect too much and remember, you get what you pay for!"
"These failed to cut into a test piece of softwood. On examination of the cutting edges it looked like they had been blunted instead of sharpened, very poor finish. I thought about trying to sharpen them but took them back and got the 16 piece set which proved to be of far better quality."
