"I had a lot of fixing blocks to install & this punch was extremely handy in marking a drill point location through the block. Spring action is adjustable. Only feature I would add would be several more points of different diameters to help locate the hole center easier."
"This was bought to create 'dimples' in a bowl as a decorative effect. By grinding the point to a smooth surface it does not damage the wood fibres and with the adjustable 'force' it can be used on a variety of woods. Great little item for the price"
"I use this tool all the time, initially bought it when I was putting up several doors in my house and needed to mark out the holes for the hinges and handles. It leaves a nice dent for pilot drill, in fact even used on solid wall when putting up the flat TV bracket."
"Just perfect for jobs in restricted spaces where you cannot use a normal centre punch and hammer. It has an adjustable pressure setting which is ideal for different materials. Great tool to keep in the box for getting you out of trouble."
"I bought this punch to replace a similar product from a different manufacturer. Unfortunately after only about 5 minutes of use the punch began to fail and became more of a nuisance than a valued tool. I'm afraid I can't recommend this tool, its only cheap so perhaps I should have known better but I didn't think Screwfix would stock a tool thats develops a fault so quickly."
"Could not make the slightest impression on a piece of medium carbon steel and the point was completely blunt after three tries. The point is described as alloy steel which is totally meaningless especially if it's not hardened and tempered. ALL steel is alloy steel, even mild steel. When it's not an alloy they call it iron."
