"I bought these for my son who is following in my footsteps and becoming an electrician, his instructors at college say that these are better than the college uses and better than there own wanting to know where he got them from when he told them the price they all went and purchased a set ."
"I found it best in price, performance, reliability. As an electrician I can use it for stripping , crimping, bending and cutting the long socket screws to the size what I need .Its insulation /sleeving gives you maximum comfort , security while working .. A super useful hand tool to be kept in the kit of every sparky."
"Handy tool to work along side a standard wire stripping tool and handy screw cutter for trimming down 3.5mm screws. Well insulated if you cut a live wire - or perhaps get a professional to do the job!"
"A nice product to have in your hand. I use these as my day-to-day go-to cutters. I like having the cutters and bending anvil in one product. I tend to use separate wire strippers most of the time but the 1.5mm and 2.5mm strippers on this work well enough when I use them. Not used the crimps as I use heavy duty ratchet crimps for that. Cutters seem to be staying sharp enough but since the cutting edge is only at the tip you are limited on leverage therefore 2.5mm is the max you can cut. These won't handle cutting 4mm and larger."
"Fabulous piece of kit. Saw an online review that said no site electrician would use these because they have a feel. I have been stripping wires for years. I've used standard strippers on everything from speaker wire to guitar electrics. I learned the 'feel'. What a great set of nips. I learned to strip, bend, twist wires with an ancient pair of long nosed pliers that were pretty blunt. These are sharp and so comfortable. Very easy to use especially as I have a trapped nerve in my wrist. They do the feeling for you. They don't replace - no set of anything ever does but they are a great addition. Good leverage with the length without sacrificing control."
"Decent at stripping and cutting. The position allegedly for folding over the end of the copper wire isn't really much use and doesn't fold them over tightly enough for many terminals. Use pliers for that!"
"Decent enough tool but still not the plier/cutter alternative. Still need a pair of pliers aswell as the cable bender is to awkward to use and the cutting area is too small.will only cut 1.5mm in one cut! Decent pair of pliers is still the quickest method for 2nd fix in my opinion."
"I have used NWS products before and have loved the quality but the problem with these side cutters is that you can only cut at the tip and therefore you don't have much leverage to cut anything more then single cables. However there a handy multi tool to have in your pocket"
