"Fitting this was a doddle. I am woman who cant put a plug on! I just upgraded from LP241 and the wiring was exactly the same, The new programmer just clipped onto the wiring that was on the electrical panel in my tiled wall. no screw driver was required only to take of the old programmer of. An electrician would have charged me £50 for a 2 minute job! I upgraded so i could have the use the 'boost' function when I wanted to take the chill of...."
"Had the old one of these fitted but battery died. Bought this & it fits on to old back plate. No changing wires. display light is on all the time as well which is great. cheaper than local shops. very pleased with this."
"I upgraded from an older version and fitting the new programmer was no trouble at all. The 'boost' function is a great idea as opposed to the Advance button. A 24 hr clock rather than the am/pm would have made programming less confusing."
"This range of Drayton programmers has always been pretty good. This particular unit though had a loose lower flap which would not stay up at all. Screwfix were excellent and replaced it with a new unit."
"Separate control for DHW and CH. Not many of these to choose from. Simple to install and program. Has the individual control of DHW I was looking for. The back light is permanently on which seems a waste of electricity. First one out the box was faulty (switching neutrals) SF were great as usual changed it no fuss."
"Great programmer, Easy to set up. Great if you want your heating on longer at weekends. The only problem I had was that I thought it would be a straight replacement for my old Drayton Tempus 7, but they have changed the back plate and it doesn't fit as a straight switch I needed to switch the back plate as well, but didn't take too long."
"Just over two years ago, had the central heating system completely renewed for a top rated system. The contractor selected the drayton controls. Now two and half years later, I having to replace the control programmer as the HW channel failed on timed mode, and the CH channel was already on constant and working thro the thermostat. So without changing the wiring, will have to stay with these, lets hope this one lasts a little longer.."
"I find this timer too complicated to be of any use, it takes ages to set up and change, when the clock goes back or forward, 7 day programmer, wants ever day and times for that day putting in individually, and then have to do it twice for water and then C/H. Other one in my main home is much simpler and a lot easier to work and more reliable. I am looking to find one with the same number of wires so that I can replace this one. I think the plumber fitted this because it was cheap."
