"I bought two of these when they first came on the market, before Screwfix stocked them I should add. The plus points being the low power and low noise. Having used a Humidistat controlled Manrose fan before, I expected it to work in a very similar way (the old version had an external knob that could be tweaked to adjust the trigger level and has worked faultlessly for years in another house). However, as the other reviewers say the trigger on this model is a complete nightmare - I've spent hours trying to tweak them to get it to come on and then turn off once the humidity has dropped (checking the level with another gadget).
I think the issue lies with the fact that the adjustment potentiometer is such a small diameter that by making a seemingly 'tiny' adjustment actually makes a very large change to the pot value, unlike on the old one which had a proper knob where a few degrees in either direction were possible. I had eventually found a sweet spot where it worked well but then as the seasons changed and the indoor background humidity rose or fell I was back to the situation where they either never came on or never went off, then having to faff about on a stool to take the cover off and adjust.
I don't think it is a genuine issue with the hysteresis of the electronics (although on the old one there was a distinct on/off spot, on the QF the control seems to have more of a delay before anything happens), more just a compromised design keeping everything inside the casing to make it look more elegant. Unfortunately that compromise means the humidistat control is wasted - however the low power and low noise means that even leaving it on continuously (in a bathroom) isn't such a big problem - just annoying that it doesn't work as well as the older models. One day I might get round to modifying it to make it easier to adjust without disassembling it..."

Review 2 for Manrose QF100H 5W Quiet Fan Bathroom Axial Extractor Fan w/Timer/Humidistat
"Bought for the humidistat function, but couldn't find a setting that would work at all: either it wouldn't ever turn on, or it turned on but would never turn off (ran for over 24hrs). Decided to resort to using it in timer mode, but even then it wouldn't turn on with the lights. Not faulty though as when initially turned on from the isolator the fan runs for a while. I'm returning for a refund, and will get an Expelair or VentAxia instead."
