1.05m Lengths. 15 x 4mm. Intumescent fire seals expand in the event of a fire and seal off the gap between the door and the frame, preventing the spread of fire and smoke. This combined fire and smoke seal prevents the spread of smoke prior to the fire seal activating. Features low friction brush pile to aid door closing. For maximum effectiveness, they need to be rebated into either the door frame or the door itself. It is very important to fit the correct size seal, please always check fire door manufacturers instructions. As a guide, only use 15mm seals on new door application and 10mm seals for replacement / retrofitting.

fire strip
28 Oct 2011

"Easy to use, you don't need the draft excluder bit because the intumescence strip swells to close any gaps when it heats in a fire. Because the door was subject to drafts i chose the draft excluder option. You may need to give it another 1mm of leeway when fitting it because the fit might be too snug."

Good solution
8 Dec 2009
By Kinetonbutcher

"Fitted some of theses strips to a firedoor without any problems, although they're only 1m long so there is an issue with having to add/cut to make up the seals. A nice addition to the pack would be some kind of shims which would allow to adjust the gap."
