"I had numerous repairs to do on a Victorian panel door which had been butchered for various installations of handles, latches and locks. I needed to get it ready for re-installing a rim lock and brass knob which of course did and does all the jobs you'd need in door furniture and looks miles better. The filler sands and paints well and seems very strong, the door now performs and looks as it would have done before idiots hacked at it. I can't comment how the filler would look on a stripped door as Victorians would never have left pine unpainted anyway.
I do think the product is very highly priced, the profits on it must be staggering. I've heard of people using it to fill between floorboards and this would cost a bomb. If my front room is anything to go by the filler can fall out anyway. If I ever need to fill gaps in floorboards I might use the idea of mixing wood sandings with PVA."
