"We've had a few of these cottage oak doors now and a couple of the half glazed version for downstairs. All have been of a good quality and had a nice finish, being a solid core construction they are fairly heavy so we used 3 ball bearing hinges per door. When they arrive they are untreated and the white oak looks quite pale, I used two coats of Sadolin Classic Woodstain (Natural) which really brought out the color of the oak."

Review 2 for Jeld-Wen Cottage Solid Cottage Interior Panelled Door 1981 x 762mm
"We ordered 7 of these doors and 3 had to go back because of serious dents and chunks taken out, which was not visible until unwrapped. The replacements came fairly quickly and were worse than the originals. It was obvious that someone had dropped an object across one of the doors and then attempted to sand it out leaving huge dents. Nearly all of the doors have had to have some remedial sanding down to try and get them to look halfway decent. We are very disappointed given that they were quite a bit more expensive than others advertised. Jeld Wen needs to seriously inspect their doors before they are dispatched, as the damage was not caused during transit."
