"As the title says, the main problem is when inserting the main fan into the extendible trunking, the two spring flaps pop out of their mountings. It took many attempts to get this right. Also the connections, when inserting the wiring, the PCB popped out along with the lever for the micro switch for the pull cord. All fine once installed, and maybe knowing what problems I had I may be able to avoid them on another install, but not what I expected from an old manufacturer like Vent Axia."

Review 2 for Xpelair SL150HT Axial Kitchen Extractor Fan with Humidistat & Timer
"This fan was intended to remove moisture from an average size kitchen. I relied on the Xpelair name but was disappointed with the flimsy construction for an item costing £90 but had further disappointment when after just a few days it became even noisier and eventually broke down completely. After removal and examination (and additional electricians costs!) it became apparent that the flimsy fan was rubbing against the body and the spindle was off line. The only Xpelair contact was an 0844 number (which is made worse when complaining about their faulty products) so I sent an email which was totally ignored. Screwfix on the other hand were very helpful and arranged an immediate replacement and as a goodwill gesture paid compensation which I accepted but did not cover the two 25 mile round trips returning/collecting nor the additinal electricians costs for removal/refitting. Xpelair has gone down in my estimation which is a pity as the fan was stated to be made in the UK."
