"Have used repair spikes before, but got these because the last one I used was a little flimsy and jammed my spike driving tool through the base! These are much better. Made of strong metal, with solid bases and have the bolt adjuster for when the post is slightly thicker than expected! Drove in well. Only required the one, but know I have another if a post goes again."
"The fence post repair spike proved very easy to use. once the old post had been cut off above the concrete the spike was driven into the what was left of the concrete encased bottom of the post. The spike followed the corner of the timber and tightened up as it was knocked down into place. It remained vertical throughout the operation. Once driven level with the existing timber the new post was dropped into the socket and tightened up with the clamp bolts. The bolts allow for a degree of vertical realignment if necessary. Easy to use and very rewarding."
"I had looked to see if there was an easy option, rather than having to dig out the old post and contrete, then reset with a new post. I searched the web for a solution and fould this along with other similar products. The difference was that this product was the only one rated as 5* all the others had a fault / flaw. The spike went in a treat, leaving a very solid based for the new post. Only I had to plane a couple of mm off my post as it was 75mm 78mm for some reason, I would have had the job done in under 30 minutes from start to finish."
"If you have a rotted post set in concrete this is perfect for slipping down the side of the post but still inside the concrete overcoat - by default will go in square and true, unlike an ordinary metpost which always seem to twist on a course of their own! Wish I had remembered these existed when I first bought a metpost!"
