"so i have just put these up in my flat and a tenner a fitting i thought that was reasonable as it seems led lamps are like 30 a go for the decent bright ones ...even then the beams a bit on the cool side and the a beams are very narrow...
the light from these spots is very good the beam covers a wide area and the light is nice and warm....only problem they take 20 secs or so to get to full brightness but as with all low energy stuff this is the norm if you can see through that then i'd say these would be a good buy"

Review 2 for Adjustable Brushed Chrome Low Energy CFL Downlight 240V Pack of 3
"I bought a box of these downlights for a stairwell and they look great. However, as with all CFLs, there is the issue of startup time - i.e. the bulbs give off a yellowish, dimmed light until warm. After that the intensity and colour of the light is good. So, depending on your application (where immediate, full tilt output is required) you might want to consider 230V halogens or those with a transformer which don't have the startup problem. Other issue is the fact that the leaflet says you can only put CFLs in these fittings?! One of the bulbs was also DOA but screwfix exchanged it without quarrell."
