"There's not much one can say about something as simple as a drillbit, but I'll give you a brief explanation of why I have bought several of these, not just for myself, but also to give to friends! . PROs: . 1) There is a tiny centre-point on the carbide tip of these Dewalt Extreme 2 bits - it's so small one might not even notice it, UNTIL it is brought into contact with the masonry, and then it becomes immediately apparent that the bit is unusually easy to hold steady, without the skidding across the surface of the material, which is so common with lesser drillbits. . 2) The extra length of this bit comes in very handy, whenever one wants to use a longer screw, for a more robust fixing, like 80mm or 90mm screws. Even if one doesn't need to use screws longer than 50mm, the extra bit length STILL comes in handy, in the common situation where there is a partial obstruction to the drill chuck. . 3) These Dewalt Extreme 2 drillbits have 3 flats ground into the shank, and this makes a huge difference to the reliability of the fit in the drill chuck - especially with keyless chucks. . 4) These bits drill very efficiently - much faster than cheaper bits. . 5) The carbide is decent quality, meaning the bits not only drill well, but last a surprisingly long time. . . CONs: . 1) It is irritating that Dewalt do not appear to make a 7mm version of this drillbit, at 150mm length, as it means brown 7mm Rawlplugs are reluctant to fit into the 6.5mm hole made by the 6.5mm x 150mm Dewalt do make (they DO fit, but, in some materials, one sometimes has to carefully wiggle the drillbit a little, before the Rawlplugs will insert all the way). . 2) No other complaints! . . . These drillbits are excellent, and a pleasure to use. I guarantee that anyone who tries them will immediately find they are a favourite product, to buy and use, time & time again."
