"I spent a long time researching electric showers as I was having one installed in a 2nd bathroom on the 3rd floor of a building, so I wanted something that would factor in a slight drop in pressure being another floor up, also I’ve never been a fan of electric showers as the pressure/output flow is always rubbish compared with mixer showers.
This was very easy to install, it came with a paper template for positioning screw holes and pipe/cable entry points meaning I could easily run the cables and pipe work while I was building the stud work and leave everything in the right place for installation later.
The most important thing to mention here is that the output flow is very good indeed for an electric shower, ultimately it is still going to feel like an electric shower because that’s what it is, it’s not going to compare to a mixer shower, but it really is very good.
Obviously it will cost a bit more to run than smaller ones because a 9.8kW shower will use more electricity than other models, also your sparky will likely want to run 10mm cable rather than 6mm which is also more costly, so if you are a DIYer buying this for your electrician to fit then be aware of that.
Also just to add some clarification to the Screwfix title description of “white/chrome”, I was not sure if it meant it would come with optional panels so you could choose the finish – it does not. It looks exactly like the pictures, the front unit and shower head is in white and the flexi-pipe and riser are in chrome.
As for the price, now that it is installed and I have been using it for a few months, I am happy with what I paid for it."
