Everything I could hope for.

"I bought this to remove about a tonne of rubble in a 60cm high crawl space under my house. It worked brilliantly. In such a small space it was highly manoeuvrable and didn't get caught on things. The "D" handle is a good size and angled forward. I could grip close to the head end to shovel up debris, or the other end to reach out in front of me. Both times the weight of the shovel didn't cause any issues. I could use both hands on it too for "proper" spade work. It was ace and would have been perfect for digging escape tunnels in the war. I am sure I will find a few other uses for it to when working with bags of cement and aggregate."

Perfect as a car snow shovel
28-Nov-2010

"We brought this for our car to use as a snow shovel just in case. Its ideal; small and light enough to carry in the boot, and, because it has a square mouth its easy to slide along the tarmac to remove snow in the wheel path (especially compacted snow which has turned to ice). Its great even when it is a thin layer of snow which is hard to get traction on but not deep enough to dig at. I think a round end shovel (such as the folding shovel) would be a lot less suitable for the thin coatings of snow we get in most of the U.K."

Buy two!

"I use these for measuring-out when mixing-up small batches of concrete by hand. The smaller size makes them less cumbersome when taking material from the bags and allows for more precise measurement. As they are quite cheap I bought two so I didn't need to worry about cross-contamination between cement and ballast - I just assign one to each product and use a conventional shovel for the mixing."

Good for tight spaces
01-May-2011
By
, Stroud
"This micro shovel is ideal for digging in tight spaces, as the short shaft allows you to manouvre the spade without getting it stuck on the edges of a hole or trench.
The head iteslf is in proportion with the shaft and handle of the spade, so is smaller than a conventional spade head.
Seems to be strong and rigid, ideal for trench digging."
