"I bought this as my last Black and Decker gave up the ghost and went to the great D.I.Y. heaven in the sky.The work bench has been just the job and does every thing my old one did. It took me a little time to get use to opening and setting it up but it second nature now but hey its only a workbench, you don't need a degree in rocket science."
"i am very surprised at how good this product is and how reasoably priced it is. it does the job perfectly, and having a raised step , you can out your foot on it too keep your bench perfectly still. fold down really easily to."
"Arrived promptly. A doddle to put together. Just 2 handles to put on - only screwdriver required. Used all day yesterday. Sturdy - "does exactly what it says on the tin". At the price it's a steal. Would recommend to anybody. Don't leave it out in the rain - bamboo wood will curl."
"To put somethings into context, - I had been quoted silly money by Black & Decker for replacement jaws for my ancient Workmate. This Multi-function workbench costs considerably less than those jaws. However, it is not in the same league as regards mechanical operation or strength. For occasional use it is adequate. I am glad that I bought it at a very discounted sale price. If you intend buying at full price, - go for the Workmate."
"Having had a Workmate bench for many years, the Forged Steel had a lot to compete with, and although adequate, it didnt really stand up. The first one I recieved was faulty and the replacement had loose bolts. Once tightened and corrected, the bench is steady enough, but again, compared to the Workmate, it feels like its been put together in a hurry somewhere."
"The goods arrived from screwfix the next day.The bench was easy enough to put together, but the hanles are flimsy and I don't think will last too long. Overall the product could have been better quality and I would not have paid more than I did for it"
"the plastic feet fall off the plastic handles are to flimsy and will break I'm sure the rear feet do not fold out without a good push and the adjusting back plank distance requires a screwdriver to move it each time as the plastic latch does not hold
but for the price it is good. the bamboo surface is nice and tough and the table is fairly stable. It is a cheap unit and it does the job"
"At £29.99 this is still not worth having. It's poor quality and difficult to use. Don't imagine trying to cut or saw with this....it's far too flimsy. I have just got it home and having spent 5 mins with it I have decided to return it. I'll be buying something that will cost more but be better value in the long run."
