"Simple numbered like for like wiring connections made replacing our ancient room thermostat with this new 'stat a doddle. Previous fluctuations in room temperature have now largely been ironed out. Could probably have bought cheaper but preferred to stick with a known quality product."
"Thank goodness for the internet so I could get wiring diagram for 20 year old thermostat this replaced. Having determined which wire was which on my old wiring this fired up first time and so much neater than old grubby thermostat it replaced. The LED is useful to see if heating is calling for heat."
"'Bonch' is correct _ you MUST have a neutral supply to the stat in order for the neon to operate. Worth reporting also that the indicated temperature can be adjusted by removing the dial and re-positioning on the knurled shaft."
"Should be described as a 4 wire fitting .... not 3. The only difference between the old unit and the new is that there is a neon feature and wiring it like for like results in the neon not functioning. Check the wiring diagram before purchasing to make sure it is compatible"
"I had my old, reliable thermostat replaced by this one, by the C/H installers when a new boiler was fitted. Since then I have found that when set at the recommended 21 deg, it actually switches off at 23.5 deg. Attempting to set a lower temperature simply causes it not to switch on until far too cold! I check the temperatures not only by digital thermometers but with a laboratory mercury thermometer on the device itself. The Honeywell website proved impossible to to use for residential customers, and 'phoning just gave the usual '' high volume of calls ''."
