"Not too much can be said about these. Screwfix seem to sell two versions of rawplugs. ie cheap and not so cheap. The cheap ones have cut back on plastic which makes the hole size much more critical. These are the dearer ones at 2 pounds money per pack. (100 in pack). It says 6mm drill and that is about right. However you may find 6.5mm drill bit may be required for the first say 10mm dept of the hole as the raw plug is largest diameter nearest wall surface. This just helps to push the rawplug home without destroying it."

Review 18 for Rawlplug Plastic Plugs Brown 4-6mm 100 Pack
"The original Rawlplug is still the best for fixing in brick, block and stone in my view. Other companies have tried to reinvent the wheel, but nothing beats Rawlplug reds and browns for value and performance."
