"Very pleased with this purchase. Quality product that does the job. It was very well packaged in a sturdy cardboard tube, and very pleased that Screwfix had it in stock so I could watch some tele at my chalet over the weekend!
Installed a satellite dish on it and although it was quite windy there was very little flexing.
This mast is made by Labgear - a very reputable and quality company and I'd highly recommend it."
"Ordered for next day collection then went home and read others reviews. As quite a hefty aerial was going on this i decided not to trust it and returned the item. It did, indeed, seem not 'man enough' for the job."
"Bought this just prior to Xmas and fitted to the gable end of the house. The tube finish seemed ok but the tube wall was quite thin. Clamping to the mounting bracket it seemed that the tube would begin to squeeze out of shape really easy. I eased off and repositioned the clamp but it certainly wasn't as rigid as the old tube it was replacing. It swayed quite considerably in the lightest of breezes and within 3 weeks, after the first strong blow, it bent at the clamping point. I've since removed it and put the old one back.Examining one against the other it seems to me that the wall of the tube is quite thin and inherently weak. Sad to say it was a complete waste of time and money buying and fitting it."
"Very thin walled aluminium tube that flexes alarmingly with the slightest bit of wind. Lasted 2 weeks before the Autumn winds bent it to a horizontal position. Stupidly did not replace it, and the now shortened remains collapsed again last week. Totally not fit for purpose - unless you enjoy climbing up ladders repeatedly."
"This mast is not fit for purpose, do not waste your time fitting it. Giving it 1 star across the board as there is no option for 0 stars. Mast was flexing in the slightest wind and I have no doubt would have buckled in the first gale. Not helped by the Labgear TV Aerial Wall Fixing Kit which was flimsy and also not up to the job; it could be flexed with the minimum of hand force. Took both components back to the Dunfermline store where the staff were very helpful – no quibble in getting a refund. Buy something more substantial!"
"Very flimsy. Wobbled about in slightest wind with a 48 element aerial and finally snapped after less than a year of being fitted. Made from lightweight material and not really up to the job in my opinion :-("
"Just come back from holiday to find no TV reception! Checked everything inside then headed out to check the aerial and found it flat on the roof. Fitted using this pole about 6 months ago and have been concerned that it seemed to wobble a lot. Might be OK for internal use, but would not recommend for outdoor use as it seems too flimsy."
"Fooled into thinking Labgear was OK quality. Do not waste your money AND time fitting this pole. Flimsy and bends and breaks in moderate wind. Refitted 3 times each time using what's left so getting shorter each time. Even changed D clamps to other side but has now gone for a 4th time. And new aerail damaged now."
"I bought this along with an aerial and wall bracket. Put it up on the saturday and took it down on sunday. The aerial was wafting about through about 20degrees. I cant believe i paid nine pounds. very poor"
