"Very pleased with this purchase. Quality product that does the job. It was very well packaged in a sturdy cardboard tube, and very pleased that Screwfix had it in stock so I could watch some tele at my chalet over the weekend!
Installed a satellite dish on it and although it was quite windy there was very little flexing.
This mast is made by Labgear - a very reputable and quality company and I'd highly recommend it."
"Due to a chimney being replaced on the house, I decided to replace all fittings with new. Aerials (TV and DAB), chimney kit were all made by Labgear and of good quality and included all the fittings. However, bought this product which as soon as I picked it up, I should have known something was wrong. The cardboard tube in which it is packaged weights more, however, decided to persevere. Aerials installed and I returned to the ground, however it was evident even in a slight breeze the mast was bending and wobbling too much (and especially compared to the neighbours). It was decided there and then to revert back to the original mast, job done and is as "solid as a rock". This new mast will be returned, it is not up to an outside job, I wish I had taken heed of previous reviews. If you use, I'm sure you will be returning to the roof shortly, as the first strong wind will, I'm sure. bend this mast."
"Ordered for next day collection then went home and read others reviews. As quite a hefty aerial was going on this i decided not to trust it and returned the item. It did, indeed, seem not 'man enough' for the job."
"Don't bother with it. Diameter small, barely fits in the clamps on aerial wall bracket. Flimsy, I would not fit aerial on top of mast and fix bracket at base of mast. Had to buy second wall bracket to make this product more stable."
"Installed high gain digital aerial attached to this pole just over a year ago. Today it snapped in two. Metal is too soft and thin. I do not recommend purchasing this pole as it is not fit for purpose."
"Fitted this with a 48 element Ariel and was waiting for the first high winds to test it.. and it bent over!. It is not anywhere strong enough. Should be withdrawn. I've now got to get on the roof and do it again. Thanks labgear/Screwfix."
"Bought this just prior to Xmas and fitted to the gable end of the house. The tube finish seemed ok but the tube wall was quite thin. Clamping to the mounting bracket it seemed that the tube would begin to squeeze out of shape really easy. I eased off and repositioned the clamp but it certainly wasn't as rigid as the old tube it was replacing. It swayed quite considerably in the lightest of breezes and within 3 weeks, after the first strong blow, it bent at the clamping point. I've since removed it and put the old one back.Examining one against the other it seems to me that the wall of the tube is quite thin and inherently weak. Sad to say it was a complete waste of time and money buying and fitting it."
"Very thin walled aluminium tube that flexes alarmingly with the slightest bit of wind. Lasted 2 weeks before the Autumn winds bent it to a horizontal position. Stupidly did not replace it, and the now shortened remains collapsed again last week. Totally not fit for purpose - unless you enjoy climbing up ladders repeatedly."
