"I bought a pop up waste off ebay for £12, it came and went straight in the bin as it was very cheaply made. Went to screw fix and bought this for an extra couple of quid, could not believe the difference, the chrome plating was really thick and the parts very strong and the rubber seals were just so easy to secure, fitted this in minutes. Should last a very long time."
"Fitted to a new bath. Was a bit fiddly fitting on my own as you need to make sure the rubber seal underneath the bath is lined up perfect around the hole before screwing the top in (which also has a rubber seal). If the bottom is not lined up properly you will get a leak if you haven't used sealant. No sealant is required as long has the rubber seals are plum. Looks nice when fitted also."
"I've just fitted one of these, and as with other reviewers I think it's an outstanding piece of kit for the money. Quality and finish are very good, and the seals are first rate. The overflow hose and Bowden cable are perhaps a bit long, but a bit of judicious threading soon takes care of that. One other thing - when packed the chromework is protected by plastic shrouds to avoid any scratching. Impressive. With good fortune I'll be able to uprate it's reliability to 5 stars."
"Had to replace my old and leaking bath waste. I am not a plumber of any sort. Bought this kit and set about changing the waste. All installed first time with no leaks, but unfortunately my bath has started cracking around the plug hole which has resulted in a few damp patches below the bath. I have just siliconed this into place to hopefully overcome this as a temporary fix until we have enough funds to replace the 80's bathroom!
"Bought this as I got fed up with the leaking (new) click clack fitted to our bath. Very easy to fit (no sealant required). Good quality, equal to if not better than a similar fitting from a good plumbers merchant which cost twice the price. This will be my go to waste kit for future use."
"Bought this one because two dearer ones from a plumbers merchant supplied by the customer were seized and could not be fitted. This one is a no nonsense, easy to fit quality item. The chrome fittings are heavily chromed over brass. The lifting mechanism is solid and easy to adjust. And the overflow backing plate nicely made in heavy duty plastic so as not to scratch the enamel. The seals all looked to be up to the job but we always use silicon as a matter of course anyway and there were no leaks. Great value item."
"Having cross threaded a cheap and nasty customer supplied bath pop up waste I decided to purchase this one which I must say is built to a high standard used with no silicone and leak free. Supplied with a brass nut and thread which you know will seal once cranked up. I would use this item again for sure."
"10 minutes to remove the old waste and fit this one. No leaks and no sealant used. This is a good solid item. Nice and neat now that the old chain and plug have gone. One tip if fitting to existing bath, remove the hose before installing the fixings, fitting the hose later is easier in a confined space."
"Was a bit fiddly to fit as the hose was a bit too long for the bath I bought, but once in place it's great. Good quality and chrome is metal, not plastic. Didn't have to use silicone to make it watertight. Had a small leak when testing, but tightening a bit more solved it."
