"Really useful item, These elbows enable you to use a budget (15mm) TRV and lock-shield pair but then connect to 10mm plastic piping from behind the radiator. Makes a neat job. Only thing missing is that the description on the Screwfix website doesn't say that they are "15mm stem to 10mm pushfit" elbows, I had to glean that information from another review. Will definitely use again."
"This allows the plastic 10mm pipes to come out of the wall behind a radiator and dive directly into the valve. Combined with a manifold this allows all the radiators on a single floor to be installed in a few hours."
"The spigot fits a standard 15mm radiator valve so effectively it converts the valve to a 10mm valve. Makes a neat job as you can have 10mm plastic pipe coming out of the wall directly into this chrome fitting"
"Its not often I leave a review, but I bought 4 of these, and one of them failed. I replaced it then that one failed. This was on a small radiator in a cloak room. These fitting's aren't reuseable, so once you've pushed your 10mm pipe in its more or less stuck...
I think the problem is, if there is any pressure on the pipe because of installing in a confined space i.e. The pipe is not 100 % aligned when you push it into the Pegler Push-fit Elbow 10mm, so there is a slight bit of pressure on it, it will leak eventually.
So you will be better off with some kind of compression fitting as they are a bit more forgiving, If your installing a small rad in a small pokey place...
The Pegler Push-fit Elbow 10mm is good, but its far from brilliant..."
"Purchased 8 of these fittings. Fitted to new radiator valves with inserts. Ran system, one fitting failed next day. Renewed, then another failed next day. Leaked at pushfit shoulder seal on both fittings.Hassle twice."
