Customer Reviews for Xtend & Climb Pro Ladder 12-Tread
"I bought these ladders because I don't have a van to carry normal sized ladders and they are often too bulky to carry about, which made me keep putting off jobs. I bought them yesterday and have already used them twice at two different locations, they are so easy to carry about. they extend really smoothly and retracting them could`t be easier, although , you do have to make sure that your fingers are out of the way....just use your thumbs Top class product, I wish I had bought them years ago"
"Fully portable , and when extended is 3.8 metres. This is a fine product that when collapsed will fit in the boot of a car. I have the Pro version for my business and quite honestly I think it will see me out. Bar one ladder, it has made all my others redundant!"
"Bought my Xtend & Climb ladders back in 2007. I had the difficult task in choosing a pair & after much research I chose these. Used mine several times a day for 5 days of the week for 3 years. Still own them but not used as much over last couple of years. They are solidly built, reliable if you make sure the have extended properly and the catches have engaged each section otherwise you can damage them (take note if lending to colleagues). They are NOT light, but very heavy when used several times a day. You can catch the web between the finger and your thumb if not careful (I used mine with gloves so wasn't an issue). If you're going to use them very frequently then they are worth it. Mine are still going strong."
"Portable, strong, easy stored and great quality. If you're looking for a quality ladder which can be stored away in a cupboard or shed, you shouldn't dismiss this one. Excellent delivery by Screwfix!"
"This ladder is credable, it small and light but extends easily to the same height as other ladders. And it's still very stable even tough it has so many moving parts. Well done whoever came up with the idea. Buy one today"
"The idea is great- few things pack away as neatly and easily as this.It really is constructed of premium materials and it works! BUT you do have to watch your fingers-get distracted when closing the sections and I imagine it could be painfull. It is necessary to apply silicone now and again to keep everything moving sweetly- the push buttons in particular (which collapse each section) tend to be a bit obstinate on occasions. Overall, a great product even if it is a bit pricey"
"Bought this for routine home maintenance after recommendation from a friend. Very stable and feels solid under foot. great to be able to adjust the ladder to just the right height(length) particularly for internal jobs."
"I’ve had this ladder about a year now & it gets used at least once a month Never had any problem with it although it did take on a lot of water when I was pressure washing my guttering at home but it has had no affect on the ladders performance. Not much else you can say really it is easy to store & easy to move it around without the need for a roof rack. It’s a bit pricy in my opinion but that said it is a quality ladder so all in all I’m happy with my purchase & as usual screw fix delivered it the next day good service as always."
"A brilliant concept which means you don't have to always use your gas guzzling large van for quick 'at height' jobs, because this fits easily in the boot of the car. It is well made (unlike some cheaper copies I have seen) but beware it's ability to pinch unsuspecting fingers!! It does flex quite a bit in use but only time will tell whether it is as robust as it appears. Good value and very versatile."
"Have hade two of these ladders now of which is used regularly but both have failed with the same problem. on both' one of the release buttons has come off, which means you cant retract the ladder fully & if its fully extended then you've got a problem. The only reason I had a second ladder was because of the 5yr guarantee but its too unreliable to risk a third replacement."
"firstly yes there handy can't argue with that but and heed the warning these ladders are good if you keep them spotless I've used other brands of this type of ladder and these are a not as good by a long shot did some drilling and the dust went on the rungs as you would expect so cleaned them with silicone spray as recommended and guess what they stick for fun they are very hard now to open and you need to really make sure they are locked in because they click in when your climbing up them not good also now they are stiff to open even with freshly sprayed silicone spray applied you have to nearly break your thumbs to push the clips in not happy haven't lasted two minutes : ("
