"I have bought a few different types of sanders at the cheaper end of the market, so I thought I would try this - a bit more expensive. It is really good, the vibration is very low and yet it sand perfectly. Recommended"
"Having worn out 2 mouse sanders manufactured by a famous brand in the last two months, I was hoping for something that would last. First impressions are good, excellent results from a sturdy feeling sander, which vibrates far less than my previous ones. The carry bag is a nice accessory, and the replacement sheets are easy to fit. Happy with purchase and customer service at my local Screwfix. All good, long may it last..."
"This product is well up to the expected standard that is associated with this manufacturer. It is a light machine that can be used for long periods with no arm or hand strain caused. The bag it comes in is a little too tight a fit for all that it holds but works. Like all sanders of this type fitting the abrasive paper is a little fiddly but as a plus you can fix either velcro style papers or pieces cut from a sheet or roll."
"Small, smart but powerful. Easy to control. You can use ordinary sand paper in roll or ready made ones. Also have got special plate to make holes in ordinary paper. Very long lead so no need to many extensions."
"Used the sander on some old sash windows. Nice and powerful, and helped smooth off the surface area well. Can buy different grains of sand paper and like the fact that it is easy to change them with a velcro fasten. Quite loud when operating but easy to handle and use."
"I am one of the silent majority that reads the reviews but never usually writes one. Well that changed when I used this sander. Originally bought the larger version but realised that it was too bulky and heavy. So returned that unit and swapped for this. It makes such light work of the sanding that the jobs I needed to do were done in no time. It does not vibrate too much, it's not that noisy and it's light and controllable. Really happy with my purchase."
"The sander performed well when using on an old blanket box. I looked at sander after use and could see that the rubber plate on which the sandpaper fits was reduced at one side as I had used it to sand crevices. I thought no problem, I will get a replacement. Unfortunately no replacements are provided by screwfix, or anywhere else. So buyer beware sander is fine but no replacements available. This is one of screwfix's own brands, they need to step up and sort this serious problem out. Is this ethical? If spares available I would not hesitate in giving 5 stars."
"how can you sell a sander and not sell hook and loop paper for it? After using a roll of grit paper and trimming down you soon find the clamps are not good enough to grip the paper, I was forever replacing the paper. The sander lasted a day and then it gave up, even when it was working and connected to a vac the dust extraction fair to poor. It was was returned and now have the makita and it is superb"
"As a experienced carpenter working on a wide multitude of projects this sander does have great advantages. Its price tag for one, and not to be under rated long power chord, and good performance despite a lot of vibration. My dissatisfaction is due to the following reasons;
I have had this sander for just under 2 years and now the rotating mechanism has chewed through the plastic fittings of the baseplate and has destroyed the sander.
Secondly, Erbauer have practically no facility for replacing spare parts so this means a new sander within two years.
Thirdly they have dropped the plastic hard-case and now sell it with a canvas bag, not ideal for looking after your gear.
Fourthly when compared to other palm sanders, for a little more money you can pick up a Makita sander widely found to have great reviews, (don't take my work for it, have a look# with a 3 year warranty with a registration within a number of days of purchase.
All in all don't be sucked in by the price tag, invest a little more and register for an extensively longer warranty # a must for the tradesman) buy cheap and pay twice, or invest wisely."
"I bought mine in February 2012 for light DIY use at home. I found it easy to use but it packed up on me in July 2014. So for reliability and value for money , even for light DIY use I can't recommend it. Perhaps I just got a one off?"
"I would have to not reccommend this product. It worked well at first but after a bit of heavy use died through overheating. The sealing of dust onto the motor brushes is non-existent so I shouldn't expect it to have lasted long. Not a bad price for a light use tool. Handy bag. But the hole punch is useless as is the wrong size for cutting holes in paper for clamping."
"Have bought various Erbauer tools when I think it is something I won't use on a regular basis and they have been surprisingly good but this one is just plain naff, when fitting sanding abrasives using the clamp to secure them the sheets just rip within a couple of seconds. It is very noisy which I could put up with if it actually sanded anything but I have just put it back in it's canvas bag and there it will stay. I should have bought the Hitachi which is just a little more expensive instead of being a cheapskate, now it's back to using my faithful old Makita which I have had for years. Very disappointed."
