"My old cistern had stopped working. After several attempts to try to fix it I eventually decided to buy this unit to replace it. Turns out it was a good decision.
As other reviewers have said, it's all ready to install and use. With the benefit of the fittings that were already there for the old unit, it was relatively easy to do. I'm not a plumber but having messed about with the old unit, I knew what needed to be done, all pipework was already in place. Even the flush pipe was easy to cut.
It's early days, but no leaks, efficient and quiet operation, all good."
"The product contained all the necessary parts including a new flush pipe & fitting. The filling 'ball valve' and flush mechanism was all preset and adjusted correctly. An excellent product and easy to fit. Long term reliability as yet unknown."
"Love this kit, easy to install and so much better than what they install in new builds that only last a few years. This kit is easy to fit, only takes an hour to do. Used this time and time again with no problems"
"I'm no plumber but had no problem retro fitting this dual flush cistern. It works perfectly, giving a much better flush either on the half or full flush. You can't beat the Screwfix service either behind the counter or on the phone."
"Bought this cistern to replace the bodged DIY job the previous home owners did on their install. They had placed the cistern too low causing stress on the flush pipe and a never ending leak! The compact height of this cistern enables me to fix it higher in the already assembled unit, problem solved. Very good quality as you would expect from Fluidmaster. Came with no nonsense easy to follow instruction. Flush pipe included. Part assembled so all I had to do was fix to wall, attach water supply to inlet and flush pipe to toilet pan. Has internal overflow. Highly recommended."
"I bought this to replace a troublesome cable-operated flush valve that was causing frequent problems, even after replacement, and was influenced by the Fluidmaster name and reputation and by the fact that this system was pre-assembled. And therein was the problem. The inlet at the base of the cistern leaked severely. So I took the thing off the wall (not easy in a confined space because of the way that the fixing tabs click into place) and discovered that the fill pipe rubber sealing washer had been fitted to the outside of the cistern rather than the inside. I changed it over and have had no trouble ever since. It's a great product and the cable-operated flush system is very smooth - all in all, it's good value for money and gets 5 stars. Maybe mine was a one-off - but just check that washer before you install it!"
"Bought this cistern to replace an existing concealed unit. Removing from the box I was surprised that it was completely assembled, all I had to do was hang on wall, connect to pan and connect water feed - Job done. Extremely pleased. Would recommend."
"This was orderd to fit into a screwfix unit and made a very neat job. I read a review that suggested it was a bit flimsy and could do with a shelf to support it. Therefore I used a pair of adjustable legs from a redundant kitchen unit to give it a bit of support if needed. Easy to operate button flush that looks good on the outside. Comprehensive instructions and kit of parts."
