"We fit good quality full bore valves on all our bathroom refurbishments. Not the cheapest option but certainly worth allowing a little extra on your estimates to fit items that are trouble free and reliable.
We've yet to experience any problems with this 22mm lever valve."
"I have fitted many of these valves. They are 100% relaible and very easy to fit thanks to nice copper olives. These are a far better bet than a gate valve as they don't sieze up and provide a complete air tight shut off. I also use them instead of those screwdriver operated things which jam up restrict flow and leak."
"I've used these for all the loft tank outlets (15mm & 22mm) so as to minimise flow reduction - they are the same bore as the pipe.
They are easy to turn off & on with positive location of off & on positions. Also, the handle position leaves no doubt as to whether they are on or off.
They can be fitted either way round, but I always fit them such that, in the on position, the handle is pointing to the outlet end, ie direction of flow. At the loft tank it's pretty obvious which way the flow is, but in other locations it can be helpful.
I can't yet comment on reliability (hence 3 stars), as they've only been installed for about 4 weeks."
"I have a few of these installed for several years and so far all have worked well and no weeps or leaks. I have one right after my stop cock to make shutting off the water easy (unlike the stop cock which tends to go stiff after a few years)"
"Seem pretty good quality and compare well to those I bought from other Plumbing Centres.... I think the body nut-shaped moulding could be a little easier to get an adjustable on and this would help when tightening. More expensive ones aren't much better though. All in all a reasonable valve for the money."
