"Absolutely the dogs doo-dahs. Sensing element runs on approx 0.5C change, so instead of your room having to cool down by 3-4 degrees before the heating kicks in, its a level temperature.
"Room temp" display is handy for when the wife complains its too cold.....
Chuffed to bits with it, have fitted another one at a customers, 2 more to do for other people.
If you're doing it DIY, just be aware of the wiring, as on some plans it will pop the mains breaker if you wiire it wrong...."

"I bought this thinking I would have fantastic comfort without the three to four degree float on my Honeywell bi-metal strip stat.
Also was hoping to be comfortable at a lower setting without the fluctuations and save money.
The stat will shut down at say 21 degrees but the house cools, to the point of discomfort, and doesn't even come back on when down to 18 degrees.
Horstmann didn't respond to my 2 e-mails but were excellent when I phoned.
They sent a replacement, as it was obviously faulty, but it is exactly the same!
I could seriously not be more disappointed."
