"We use plinthlock on every plinth now. Easy to fit and holds them tight and square ~ unlike other basic clips! Now started using new/improved panellock as well on filler panels and dummy draws too. This has a clever locking pin too ~ give them a go ~ loads of uses !"
"These clips are very good. My only gripe is the description states that they can be used for infill panels and corner posts- they can't. They are an interference fit and if used on a filler panel they will fall off! As a plinth clip they are very good. Screwfix- change the product description"
"Had my doubts about these before I bought them. They do a good job of making the ends of plinths feel more solid but there is obviously no way in which the two parts can be screwed together when they are hidden behind the plinth. I'll wait and see how the plinths respond to being kicked a few times."
"This product cannot be used to 'lock' a plinth (or anyting else) in place as the two parts of the fitting do not lock, clip or snap together in any way. They simply slide together and there is not even enough friction between the two parts to hold them together.
The packaging says that the product 'Fits plinths firmly in place - first time' which is nonsense because there is nothing 'firm' about the fit - they just slide together and then fall apart.
I hadn't used these before and thought that I must be missing the point and contacted the manufacturer for advice but they simply sent me a copy of the sales brochure which didn't help at all. In fairness to Screwfix, they refunded my money without question so although I shall continue to shop with Screwfix, I would not recommend this product."
