"I was absolutely dreading drilling 12mm holes in some steel supports had to drill about 14 holes this thing went through them like butter I've never used a bit like it I did 14 holes in less than an hour was expecting to take all afternoon!! don't bother with the cheap ones although a little expensive its worth it 100%!!"
"Well-known dessert flowered two cheaper drill bits before biting the bullet and lashing out on the DeWalt bit!
Bit head design allowed slower speed cutting through 2mm 316 stainless steel sheet again and again without getting hot enough to case harden the stainless, as the other bits seemed to do even with oil coolant spray."
"This drill bit is fantastic! I used it to drill 24 No. holes in 6mm steel plate and a further 24 No. holes in 8mm thick PFC. The bit went through the steel with ease and the bit looks hardly worn! Just make sure you use plenty of oil when drilling steel and to keep the drill on a reasonably slow rotation."
"At just under a tenner this drill bit has cost me just over £3.00 per hole through 6.7mm steel and at this rate I could be looking at the 16 holes costing me £60.00p The first three holes went like a dream, then no bite and a blunt drill bit which I doubt will be able to be sharpened, beware this product unless you only want to drill three holes !!!"
