"I purchased this saw as i needed a new one, very simple to assemble and use. I had several door frames to fit as well as skirting and the door architrave. Made light work of the task and of all the cuts and angels were perfect, I would highly recommend this saw a good replacement for my old saw."

Review 3 for Titan TTB234MSW 254mm Compound Mitre Saw 230V
"works well, decent power but not used often and carbon brushes worn already and unlike well known brands it is impossible to find spare parts. Maybe it would have been better to buy a more expensive, better known saw ie Makita, etc"

Review 4 for Titan TTB234MSW 254mm Compound Mitre Saw 230V
"I purchased the first one and it appeared new but the instructions stated there was a front post for holding the work against the fence but this appeared missing so I returned it. The exchanged item was obviously a returned saw as there were two lots of tape on the top of the box. Once opened the laser was missing and was in a filthy condition. So this was exchanged, The third was again a return as there were two lots of tape on the top of the box. This had finger prints on it but appeared OK. It made a funny noise on start up but after the third cut the blade came loose. When attempting to use the spindle lock it would not depress and could not tighten the blade. At a guess the funny noise on start up was the spindle lock engaged. As it happens none had the front post so I assume it is no longer included but the instruction booklet has not been updated. Whilst it was working it did appear do do what it was supposed to however because of it then breaking down I can not give a high score for reliability. The exchange process was relatively straight forward but only because in the end I went into the store rather than post but each time was a day wasted while waiting delivery. In the end gave up with the titan and went with the erbauer saw which had an identical saw but a superior base with fine control stop end and satelite support for long items at only £20 more. I am not sure where the real problem with the returns really lays. Either Screwfix are reissuing returned items ( which are faulty as opposed to a simple 'not required' return or with Titan, but the whole affair was very stressful with nearly a week wasted."
