"I spent a lot of time researching all the forums before I purchased a sealant for my bathroom, as the previous one lastest about a year before yellowing. I replaced it all with the white variant 2 years ago and it still looks like new. I now use the White 785 and Clear 781 versions for every application and wouldn't use anything else.... It's superb! I can only rate it 4 stars for reliability as I've only been using it for 2 years but I have no doubt that it'll continue to perform perfectly and look as good as new :)"
"36 years of Tade and DIY and this is easily the best sealant you can buy. It is easier to use than most and will outperform and outlast any of the others. Purchase the correct grade for your specific application and you will end up with a long lasting professional job."
"This is the first time I have used the Dow Corning brand sealant - It is a far superior sealant to all the other sealant brands - it is so smooth when you apply it and it leaves a perfect finish. I have used it to seal around the sink. I would highly recommend this sealant and it is also very reasonable in price from Screwfix."
"As a DIYer I don't really mind this being a bit more expensive than others; the only thing I want is a quality product that's easy to work with. I'd rather pay £2 more and get a good result. I don't have that much experience with different brands of silicone, but this is great stuff in my opinion."
"I had to write a review because I couldn't leave this product with such a bad score. I' ve used budget line silicones like the Nononsense and It sticks in your fingers when you want to give the finishing even with fairy. With this silicone you can't go wrong, It's a bit more expensive than a budget line but you feel the difference. Easy to apply, It doesn't stick on your fingers when giving shape and lasting long time.
Don't take risks, use quality products when DIY!!!"
"Personally I prefer the complete opposite to Matt . I hated evostick and the others out there that are more watery types as you make more mess and anything that needs sealing that's fairly larger than normal is impossible . When I run a silicon bead I want some body to it so when I lick my finger or spray with fairy liquid and run it along I can feel it moulding into position and not leaving a sloppy mess. Excess ? Your either cutting the hole in the tube to big or squeezing to hard. The one job I used evostick on I have had to return to , 1 year later the white silicon was starting to get black mould setting in. I personally will not use anything other than this for a professional look without the professional tools. Everyone likes things different, I had to write this review as I wasn't leaving this great product with one star !"
"Seals well but thick and difficult to work with. Not easy to smooth out and remove excess. The Evo-Stik silicone is a very much better product as it is so easy to work with. The no nonsense product is better than this one and cheaper so no point buying this one. If you can afford this one buy the Evo-Stik instead you will be much happier with the result."
