"I was very impressed with the quality of this moderately priced light fitting. Connection was easy once I removed the lamp holder from the base. The connection will take two 1.5 mm cable but it is a bit tight. The body is good quality and the sealing rubber gasket is thick and durable. Over all this is a good quality fitting for a supprisingly low price."
"This is a good quality product, robust coated metal frame, nicely fitted sealing gaskets and a proper ceramic lamp holder add up to excellent value. Made for outdoors but looks good enough for inside if you don't need anything too pretty or for a funky industrial look."
"I echo other more technical reviews as to products features and build quality - its well constructed and very robust. To be honest I was looking for an entirely plastic fitting - basically because plastic doesn't corrode and metal does. Anyway the alloy base plate, finished in what I think is white 'powder coat' looks pretty well finished and the appearance should last. One tip that I will give is to dip the bolts that hold the glass in place, in grease, before you screw them in. Steel bolts in alloy holes is a recipe for corrosion meaning that the bolt will fuse with the hole and then you cannot take the bolts out should the need arise i.e. to replace a bulb - put some grease on the bolt - and that solves that problem.Dont take too much notice of my reliability rating, as I've only just purchased these, and its too early for me to really have an opinion on this front."
"Well-made metal bodied white bulkhead light with rear grommeted cable entry. Comes with fitting screws, wall plugs and heat resistant cable sheathing - everything you need to fit it. Terminals well made, although earth terminal is of "wrap-around a screw" style construction - I would have preferred a terminal block but this is really a minor quibble. Wired up in conjunction with Screwfix LAP Ceiling Standalone PIR #80538 and a CFL low-energy bulb for a good-looking and functional front-door courtesy light. Can't go wrong at this price!"
"I have fitted a lot of these over the last few years and they have all been reliable. I use compact fluorescents in mine and so they are very economical. The build quality is very robust and they should last a long time."
"Bought several for my loft, haven't had them long enough to review performance and reliability but feels nice and solid compared with the equiv I've seen in other shops. Was a bit confused whether bulbs were supplied, removed bulbs from my basket as last sentence in description suggested a bulb was supplied - got home to find no bulbs. Still good value though."
"Well made. Doddle to wire, solid bit of kit. Amazing price too. I docked one on features because there wouldn't be enough room inside for a second set of wires to daisy-chain another lamp off this one. Works great with the LED bulb #18169 too!"
"Bought a couple of these a few months ago & still working fine. Easy to install & provide good lighting on garden path. Seem to be quite solid & well made. Have now bought another two for extra garden area."
"Great value: alloy casing, glass lens, and the bolts and threads all worked fine. How do they do it for only £6.30? Provided the rain doesn't get in, I'm impressed. Tips: easier to connect the cables, specially the earth one, if you unscrew the lampholder first; and the reflector may end up in contact with anything but the slimmest lamp - if that bothers you."
"Really like these, they come with rubber gasket / grommets and heatshrink for cables for outdoor use. Very sturdy. I used one for a cupboard light so can't comment on longevity but very impressed none the less. Mount with 2 screws."
