Check the date!
6 Jul 2012

"I sealed round an exterior window frame with this, went away on a fortnight's holiday and came back to find it hadn't cured at all and was still very tacky. I then belatedly checked the "use by" date to find that Screwfix had sold me a tube which was a full 2 years out of date. The local branch replaced it without question but of course the very messy job of removing the defective sealant and replacing it was down to me. The replacement is fine and cured virtually immediately (so my rating relates to the 2nd tube, not the first) but I noticed that of the four tubes then in stock at the local branch one was a year out of date and the other 3 were just about to go out of date. So the moral is CHECK THE DATE."
